Where does Mike Myers go now?

Mike Myers has played a Super Agent, an animated green Oger, an 80′s rocker guy with his own TV show, A Cat in a Hat, An American Hindu Love Guru, and various other shtick roles. Sure he has been hilarious in most of these roles, but when is enough enough? When does Mike Myers say “Hey, its time for me to take on some regular roles that I can be myself in”?

He has one role to his credit where he played an average Joe as Charlie Mackenzie in ‘So I Married an Axe Murderer’, and I absolutely loved this movie. He was still funny, and he didn’t have to pull this gimmick comedy crap. So here is my shout to you Mike Myers, one of my favorite all time SNL guys… Go out and snag some regular guy roles, do a freaking Chick flick love movie. Do something new man, something that doesn’t require you to change your voice, wear a wig, grow a beard, or put on fake teeth. Please!

I leave you with this:

  1. I have an idea..let us read your scripts for the next year and let us decide what to do next to salvage your career. The Shrek thing is good, but if you show your mug again, please, no more sequels and lose the old standby jokes!

  2. agreed. I will send this to his manager and agent..make sure they send us his stuff to review. Maybe he should start a blog(not a hockey blog), and we can rate the scripts.
