‘Futurama’ returns with another DTV feature

Futurama, the super-popular sci-fi cartoon for grown-ups that refuses to be lost in the history pages of canceled TV returns with yet another animated direct-to-DVD feature. This second feature, titled Futurama: The Beast with a Billion Backs, has the Planet Express crew trying to repair a rift between their universe and another parallel universe inhabited by a gargantuan tentacles alien monster that takes over Earth by influencing Fry to command a mass religious exodus into a fake heaven, leaving Earth in the hands of the robots. The DVD is scheduled to release on June 24, 2008.
