Jake Gyllenhaal will become ‘Prince of Persia’

Submitted by Travis on Tuesday, 20 May 2008One Comment

Based on the popular video game series that’s [nearly] as old as I am, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time will star Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton. The film will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Mike Newell.

[ In the fantasy adventure, Gyllenhaal will play Dastan, a young prince in 6th century Persia who must join forces with Tamina (Arterton), a feisty and exotic princess, to prevent a villainous nobleman from possessing the Sands of Time, a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.] — The Hollywood Reporter

2 things will keep the video gamers happy on this one:

    1. Amazing stunt work to capture the sweet stuff you can do in the game.

    2. A really really cool effect for when he reverses time and does something the second time.
