Early review of ‘The Happening’ not good..
Collider.com scored an early review of M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Happening’ and it doesnt fair well.
““The Happening” is a terrible, terrible movie. I mean, it’s bad on an epic scale. It’s so bad that I can’t possibly tell you how bad it is without understating the point or making it sound like I’m picking on the film. But let me stress: this is not pent-up Shyamalan aggression or a desire to see him fail. This is bad in a jaw-dropping “they can’t really be serious, can they?” kind of way. The closest comparison I can draw is to Neil LaBute’s “Wicker Man” and, like that film, the only consolation I can offer potential theater-goers is that you might want to see it just to be in on the ground floor when the film gets its ass handed back to it.”
That is a direct quote from the review..and if thats not bad enough, a couple of people told them the same thing. I cant say that I am surprised, but sorry all you crazy, insane M. Night fans, he just isnt that bankable after ‘The Village’ and ‘Lady in the Water’.
Go read the rest of it, but be warned, it doesnt get any better.

Dude…it reads better than this review states. I have read the script and it was good. I have only seen the trailers, so now I’m worried. I mean the trailers for Speed Racer and Narnia looked good and we have seen two flops in a row. I guess we will know for sure in 3 weeks when we go to our screening.
From what I have heard, everyone the read the script was blown away by it, and thought that M Night would definitely redeem himself. This reviewer stated the same thing, but..maybe this summer will be ‘The Summer of Flops’! You called it dude.
