WAMG First look at ‘Dead Bones’

Submitted by Scott on Monday, 28 April 2008No Comment

I just got back from lunch and opened up my email to find a little gem from Annick Mahnert (producer) and Oliver Beguin (director) about a movie. They have recently finished filming a 15 minute short film that is described as a “Gory Western” or more specifically “Dead Bones is a Cannibal Western, it’s gory”. How bad-ass does that sound? Not only that, they also scored Ken Foree(Dawn of the Dead, Devils Rejects) and Arie Verveen (Sin City, Cabin Fever, Thin Red Line) to star in the flick, with a cameo from Ruggero Deodato!

This movie looks so insane that its a shame its only a 15 minute short film. I cant believe I haven’t heard anything about it until today. Here are some other details from their site …

“The film tells the story of a bounty hunter and his prey as they proceed in unknown territory.

Principal photography on this Swiss production will take place from March 21st to March 24th in Almería, Spain and from March 28th to March 30th at the Rhino Studio in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

The release is scheduled for this summer.”

Damn … I can’t wait. Look for a possible interview with these guys soon. For now, go check out the site http://dead-bones.com
