Michael Bay is jerking us around …

So, we all know about the Transformers sequel, but how much do we really know? We’ve seen what may seem to some quite a bit of information leaked from insiders about Transformers 2, which leapt almost immediately from the first movie’s box office domination to a very quickly completed script and lots of “rumors” about details, incuding which new Decepticons will be seen and who’ll be cast. Well, apparently none of its true … we think? Michael Bay has publicly denied all of it on his website:

“Sorry everyone, everything you are reading (other then we are shooting in Philly) is false,†says Bay on his website. “We are going to give so much disinformation on this film to confuse everyone.†[source: slashfilm.com]

What the heck? I understand keeping tight lips on production, but what’s with the outright lying … if that’s the “actual” truth? Bay already has plenty of critics, does he really want to encourage more negativity? Anyway, I realize this is a photo from the first movie’s production, but I find it funny that he’s standing in front of a big green construction tractor.

Gee imagine that, Michael Bay jerking us around. Like that has never happened before…

  2. You know, I kinda feel like there is a back and forth battle about what they leak out, and what we should really know. I’m guilty of over research the movies I want to see, and yet I love nothing more than when I don’t know the details and I’m presently surprised.

So What I’m trying to say is… I might be ok with disinformation as it pertains to uber-hyped movies that have too many details released too early.
