‘Clock Tower’ will get a movie audience …

OK … I need some feedback from the mega-gamers out there. I confess, I’m not really a gamer, at all. The only system I have is a PS2 and the last two games I bought were MLB 2K7 and MLB 2006 The Show. So, what I am curious about is hearing your thoughts on this Clock Tower series of games.

Variety.com reports the Weinstein Co. is bringing the series to the big screen. The story will combine elements from all three games, but will mainly focus on the storyline from the second game Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within. Senator Entertainment will produce, Eric Poppen (Borderland) writes and Martin Weisz (The Hills Have Eyes 2) will direct.

The concept behind the game sounds appealing as a movie, if done well. That’s rare, coming from me … I typically cringe every time I hear about a new video game being made into a movie. What are your thoughts … could this possibly make a decent movie? Were the game(s) any good?
