Charlize Theron to remake ‘Lady Vengeance’
In an interview with MTV Movies, Charlize Theron confessed she was working on a remake of Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. The project is in the early stages of development but Theron has committed to produce and star in the picture. The original was directed by Park Chan-Wook and was released in 2005. Apparently the director approached Theron with the idea of having an American director remake his film because he wants to see how it would be made in an American society.

I am a huge fan of Park Chan-Wook and I think that Old Boy and Lady Vengeance are not only the two best films I have seen come out of Korea, but they might be two of the greatest films of all time. I heard that Will Smith is going to star in the remake of Old Boy (boo), and I really don’t know how I feel about Ms. Theron playing Lady Vengeance. Don’t get me wrong she is a great actress, but this movie is so awesome that I only think that an American remake would ruin the original’s beauty….
i saw Charlize Theron once and i really like her charming looks and her super flawless skin. she is also a tall woman and walks like a queen.

American remakes of Asian movies makes me wanna blow my brains out! Park Chan-Wook is a fucking genius and americanized version of one of my ultimate movies like Lady Vengeance is the last thing i want to see.

Screw that, America sucks ass at these sort of movies, I would much rather watching it with subtitles that listing to bullshit actors and directors who probably don’t even understand the plot of the original. Korean movies such as this are awesome we should ‘watch them’ instead of making gay remakes.
