Regal will run Red-Band trailers …

 Regal Entertainment Group

In a bold [yet much appreciated by movie geeks] move by the giant industry leader Regal Entertainment Group, they have decided to permit restricted, or “redband” trailers to run in their theatres. These “redband” trailers are known for giving a much more accurate and satisfying depiction of coming soon movies with “adult-oriented” material. If we’re lucky, they’ll soon permit their theatres to run those pesky indie films that get branded with the proverbial “Scarlett Letter(s)” of NC-17.

["This is going to be hugely helpful for us when we want to give targeted moviegoers a true sense of the kind of movies we are offering," said Adam Fogelson, Universal president of marketing and distribution. "I couldn't be happier or more grateful to the people at Regal for continuing the dialogue that has led to this decision."] — HollywoodReporter
