A New Warriors Movie … may god have mercy on our souls.

Well, I was digging around looking at some cool Warriors info and stuff. When I stumbled upon some stuff on www.warriorsmovie.co.uk about a new movie. At first I was thinking “AWESOME! they will continue the story, or better yet they will tell like a cool back story” But then I started to read and my heart sank.

The Warriors is being remade by MTV Productions in conjunction with Paramount Pictures. This movie isn’t strictly a remake since it is going to be set in Los Angeles in 2008 and none of the characters or gangs from the original movie will be in it. Yes that’s right, no Ajax, no Swan, no Orphans or Baseball Furies! In fact the only similarities with the original movie are the title, the name of The Warriors gang, and the basic plot. Rumour has it that Cyrus will still be the name of the guy who called the meeting. Expect the movie to be released some time in 2008.”

So yeah, like me I am sure that everyone is sad and disappointed. What is The Warriors without the Baseball Furies, the Orphans, the Turnbull AC’s, the Lizzies and so on… Well that is the way things are, and we are not going to be able to change it. But on the bright side. I might be good. I mean, the story is good and who knows I might be just as good as the original…we’ll have to see.
