I was watching ‘From Dusk Till Dawn‘ this weekend and I completely forgot that Cheech Marin played 3 different characters in that movie, The Border Guard, Chet Pussy (picture above), and Carlos the rendezvous guy. Well most of you guys already know him, but maybe someone out there doesn’t.

I will try to cover all aspects of his career; Actor, Voice over, Writer, and Director.

Obviously acting we should all immediately hit the nail on the head with the Cheech and Chong Movies. 6 of them to be exact up until 1985 when they quit doing the act due to “creative differences”. From this point he launched his “Solo” career, which was much more successful for him, than it was for Tommy Chong. After the split he wrote a parody song called ‘Born in East LA‘ which also became a movie in which he wrote, stared in, directed, and did the soundtrack for. My favorite Cheech roles were in ‘Desperado‘, ‘Once upon a time in Mexico‘, ‘From Dusk Till Dawn‘, and the Priest in the ‘Machete‘ Trailer.

Cheech has also done a lot of voice work. He did voices in ‘Oliver & Company‘ ‘The Lion King‘, ‘Married with Children‘ (TV show), ‘Fern Gully‘, ‘Pinocchio‘, ‘Kingdom Hearts II‘ (Game), and ‘Cars‘.

He also didn’t stop at just films, he had roles in TV Shows ‘Nash Bridges‘, ‘Tales from the Crypt‘, ‘Judging Amy‘.

So as you probably know by now that Cheech is all over the place..but that’s why we love him so much.
