I keep seeing these short trailers on tv for Cloverfield, and my wife was like..what is this movie about. Honestly, I had no idea besides it was being kept a big secret for a long time. Well, I decided to do some investigating and this is what I came out with. Watching the first 5 minutes of the movie on youtube you realize the whole movie is being shown on a digital camcorder (didnt another movie do this?), and it revolves around a group of friends that are at some type of party (a going away party). Everyone thinks there is an earth quake, and then things start exploding. Finally you see the head of the Statue of Liberty come flying down a street and there are crazy claw marks on it. So we know this much  by just visiting the wikipedia page. Also from the wikipedia page it tells us that Cloverfield is the “government’s case designate for the monster”.

I have to say I am pretty excited to see this movie.

The other great thing about it, is the fact that they took inspiration from the Escape from New York Movie Poster with the Liberty head being on it, but never being show decapitated in the movie. Good Stuff.
